Ah, its that time on Cat's Rants where I answer questions again...yee haw! ;) For those of you new to the Rant Room, or those of you recently returning, please click on the Questions You've Asked Me link to the left for more of this type of article.
Q. I have heard if I use spells for dark or selfish purposes, that my ability to cast spells or use magic/k will be taken from my by [the Godforce/the Universe], - is this true?
A. Um, no... If I were to lie using my voice, my voice doesn't permanently go mute; if I were to use my hands to strangle someone unto death, my hands don't melt or become useless...are we seeing a pattern? I will not go into the karma/divine retribition as fictional boogeyman thing again today, but let's just say that malicious intention or selfish motivation will not destroy your ability to cast a spell. However, if you are an immoral, cruel, or selfish person, you are apt to make a lot of enemies, and having a lot of enemies can certainly contribute to one's downfall...so it probably isn't going to help you a lot in life if you constantly act out of malice or selfishness. ;)
Q. What is the scariest thing you ever saw?
A. The bar tab I was handed on my 27th birthday.
Q. If more than one spell is cast on me for different or similar purposes, will it negatively effect the other spells?
A. No, spells do not negatively affect each other unless they are for 2 opposite purposes (ie casting a spell to bless someone and casting a spell to curse the same someone,) or the spell/s are purposely cast to affect another spell (ie, you cast a curse reversal to counteract and reverse a curse.) Further, if several people are spellcasting towards the same purpose (let's say for a healing,) this only creates a stronger manifestation.
Q. I have heard/read that I should expect some sort of sign that my spell is working within either a 3-day, 3 week, or 3 month time period - what is your opinion on this?
A. I feel that the above statement is probably about 95% correct...the 5% that isn't correct is that I would NOT infer this to a neophyte spellcaster. ;) See, people who have not cast a lot of spells or who do not have a lot of practice with spellwork tend to project their feelings enough that either "everything is a sign," OR, even worse, they "freak themselves out," and nothing is a sign...or they eat nachos before bed and this gives them nightmares and then "OMG, CAT IS THIS A SIGN?" comes in my inbox...and the answer again is probably not.
My advice with signs is this...until you feel entirely secure in the actual act of spellcasting, don't look for a sign. Once you are comfortable and acclimated to casting spells, you will start noticing signs, and you won't question if they are or aren't...you will know. Its not easy to describe, but as best I can put it...when you get a sign, you know its a sign, sort of like once you fall in love, you know you are in love and you don't have to ask if you are or aren't. ;) If you have to ask if its a sign, it probably isn't. ;)
Q. If I have stalked or harassed my ex, is there really even any hope of getting them back through spellwork?
A. Well, like anything else, this is going to be a "case by case" answer with no one blanket answer to use. ;) For example, if you stalked and threatened them repeatedly, your chances are a lot more slim of getting them back than if you simply called them too much 3 days after the break up. ;)
So... what you need to do is first STOP doing anything wacky like calling or IMing or anytihng like that. Calm down. Calm now? Good. ;) Now clean yourself up and look fantastic (no martyr of love look - that's not gonna help,) and when you go out, act as if you are fine with or without so and so...(you and I know you are secretly carrying a flame, but that's okay,) and then start your reconcilation work and wait for that person to come back to you. I swear it can and does work amazingly, even in many bad situations. If you really want this person back, this is at least worth a try, right?
However, if you "can't help yourself," and continue to call, stalk, harass or demean your "intended," you can continue being hurt and disappointed. Regardless of spellwork, there is NOTHING to be accomplished from openly pursuing a party who is not interested or desirous of your open pursuit. It took some sort of seduction to get this person to begin with, so acting like a crazy person...well, it isn't seductive. ;) Give them some time to regain their trust of you, and to remember what they loved about you, and keep up your spellwork...in a few weeks you may be pleasantly surprised to have this person back.
Keep those questions coming!!
